What makes a hook a catch and release hook? The ones I see at Wal Mart have these nasty barbs on them and you got that out of the catfish’s mouth so easily.
Catfish are strong fish, strong enough that while fighting they make the hole from the hook a little bigger, big enough to make the hook come out more easily. Also I de-barb my hooks if I’m catching and releasing. I am going to do a de-bark hook video soon. I hope I answered your question.
